HISTORY

From 1997 to 2000 our Association worked under the name of “Romanian Women’s Association – Iasi Branch” based on the principles of the action Platform adopted by the Fourth World Conference of Women, organized by the U.N.O. in Beijing, China.

Starting with January 24th 2000, the Association changes its name into United Women’s Association, residing in Iasi and it acquires the quality of independent legal entity of non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit character.

MISSION

United Women’s Association cultivate the feeling of solidarity among Romanian women and women from other countries in relation to the defence of the fundamental rights and liberties, of their emancipation and regain of their identity, true to the spirit of peace, respect and equality of rights, according to law.
